HELP FEED YOUR NEIGHBORS! Donations of food are urgently needed for the St. Claire/St. Martha Food Pantry - this summer more than 400 families a week are supplementing their groceries through this program. Please consider making a non-perishable food donation. All donations can be dropped off at any of the following locations: 242 Hampshire St (Food Pantry) 9-5 M-F or 410 Hampshire St (Good Shepherd Ctr) 10-4 M-S. You can also drop off food at 48 Holly Street, Lawrence between the hours of 9 am - 1 pm, 4pm – 8pm weekdays and 4pm-8pm weekends. Lazarus House Ministries provides the broadest continuum of services to those in need in our area. Our guests are empowered to overcome poverty and crisis, to become more productive members of the community.

We help people take charge of their lives, rebuild their families and move beyond poverty, out of crisis and into the mainstream.

Since opening its doors as a temporary homeless shelter in 1983, Lazarus House Ministries has been fighting poverty from its base in Lawrence, MA, one of the poorest areas in the country, and the poorest in New England. Over the years our supporters have responded to the needs of this community by providing the financial support to expand our programs to provide the necessary services that allow us to provide comprehensive solutions that positively impact more and more people in need.  

Mission Statement
Lazarus House, Inc. is a spiritually based organization that welcomes all in the name of God. It provides a continuum of care encompassing, but not limited to food, shelter, clothing, advocacy, job training, medical and dental care, a listening ear, a welcoming heart, the restoration of dignity and self respect to the poor and needy.
